Civic Education & Election Monitoring Program
Society of Bright Social Services (SBSS) has been implementing this program with the financial Assistance of Asia Foundation since 2007 through Bangladesh Center for Development Journalism & Communication (BCDJC). SBSS implemented this program in its project area i.e. Dhaka, Comilla and B. Baria District. Through this program, a total of 4,75,000 no. targeted beneficiaries has got national ID card and able to entry their name in voter list. Besides this, SBSS provided training on Civic education & voting rights to the civil society members including women and mass community people at the time of National Election 2008. Apart from this, SBSS arrange awareness sessions especially for women in the project areas. So that, 95% women of the above mentioned district has got the opportunity to establish their voting rights independently. In 2013, SBSS will work in 16 districts covering local Govt Election. In order to conduct free fair and credible election, SBSS will implement the following major activities in regular manners
